Death Valley Museum
The Death Valley Museum was established in 1960 and initiated by the Death Valley ‘49ers. The museum was built on land that was donated by Borax (Holdings) Limited. The construction of the museum was made possible with funds appropriated by the State of California. The exhibits and administration of the museum is by the National Park Service.

Twenty Mule Teams - Death Valley
For more than a century, the 20-mule team has been the symbol of the borax industry. The 20-mule team could be found on product labels and television. The status is well earned; mule teams helped solve the most difficult task that faced Death Valley borax operators—getting the product to market.
