White Bread is Bad for Swans

The RSPCA, RSPB and South Hams District Council reminds everyone with a sign that white bread is not good for swans. The sign reads, “WHITE BREAD CAN DAMAGE THE HEALTH OF THE BIRDS. Please do not feed the swans with white bread as this can cause serious vitamin deficiencies, especially in younger or older birds.”
